The Center for Counseling & Training prides itself on providing high quality, confidential counseling and professional services.  We strive to make you feel comfortable in a difficult time of your life.  Our goal is to help you feel better and ultimately be the best person you can be.

There is no one who could not benefit from talking to an objective person about their thoughts and feelings.  Everyone has had some sort of struggle in their life.  Research shows that people who participate in counseling report a 50% decrease in anxiety and depression.  We will help you find the right therapist who fits with your personal needs.

The Center for Counseling and Training’s trained and caring therapeutic staff helps strengthen families by specializing in helping children, youth and their parents overcome the negative effects of traumatic events such as sexual or physical abuse, loss of a loved one, domestic, school, community violence or other traumatic events.  We realize that strong healthy families are the building blocks of a violence-free community.  The TCCT has experience working with a variety of therapeutic approaches in which a family is treated as a whole.  During our family therapy sessions the members of a family participate with the aim of improving communication between them and the ways in which they relate to each other.

The Center for Counseling & Training (TCCT) provides counseling for children, pre-teens, and adolescents ages 3 and up.   Many children struggle with their emotions and need counseling for various reasons.  We utilize different modalities such as play therapy, cognitive behavioral counseling, art therapy, and other various techniques to help your child learn coping skills, better their behavior, manage anxiety and depression, learn ways to manage their anger, or give them an outlet to safely express their thoughts and feelings. We will choose the best possible therapist for your child’s needs.

It does not matter how long someone has been in a relationship, every couple has their ups and downs.  With the stress of day-to-day life, blended families, kids, finances, and conflict it is sometimes necessary to get some outside help and strategies to maintain or regain a healthy relationship.  We have therapists who will help you get what you want and need out of your partnership.

Play therapy uses what we know about how children use play to help clients process trauma, express their feelings, and practice coping skills. Play therapy lets children be active and engaged in the therapy process in a safe and accepting environment. When children are not able to express how they feel through words, they can use puppets, art, toys, and sand tray.

Many attorneys, law enforcement officials, Probation & Parole officers, Juvenile Officers, and Children’s Division caseworkers trust us with their clients’ situations.  We can help with co-parenting counseling during and after a divorce, therapeutically supervised visits with children and their parents, counseling for individuals and families involved with legal problems, foster children/families, reunification, and various other court-related issues.
Please note:  We do not make decisions regarding custody of children.
